Abstract

Healthcare systems’ quick transition into the digital age has greatly increased the need for secure, reliable and resilient communication frameworks.Traditional encryption mechanisms, although widely deployed, face potential vulnerabilities, as we see with the rise of quantum computing. Protection of the privacy and durability of medical communication issues has become of great importance and the present era of communication is to demonstrate its relevance through a variety of roles which also include a large structural element in health care. Also, with respect to wide use, classical encryption does, one day sees that which puts it out of use due to the growing issue of quantum technology. In healthcare environments, this study examines the role of quantum communication technologies. This study gives an assessment of the pure quantum communication technologies such as Quantum Cryptography (QC), quantum relays, and quantum networks, while also discussing hybrid communication systems that integrate post-quantum cryptography (PQC), artificial intelligence (AI), and conventional security frameworks. The contrast in a study we find is in the case of quantum communication. Promises the best in physics-based security but is still within the constraints of cost, scale, and environment. Hybrid systems present short-term economic viability of integrating current infrastructure with post-quantum algorithms and smart key management.
