Abstract

This short paper redefines the evolutionary divergence from the Last Universal Common Ancestor (LUCA) into the plant and animal kingdoms through the theoretical framework of the In Vivo Quantum Processing Unit (QPU) paradigm. Moving beyond conventional ecological and physiological models based on trophic levels and reciprocal respiration/photosynthesis, we formalize the plant-animal symbiotic relationship as a “planetary-scale quantum hardware (31 P nuclear spin memory) cycling system” coupled with a “functional division of labor between dual-clock supply architectures and centralized high-order QPU arrays.” We demonstrate that the complementary bifurcation into a distributed substrate (plants)—converting and supplying inorganic phosphorus into organic quantum elements (Posner molecules and ATP)—and centralized computing nodes (animals)—consuming these elements to execute high-order locomotion and cognitive processing—was a physical imperative to overcome ambient thermal decoherence, avoid resource depletion, and sustain the planetary ecological QPU network.

How strong is the evidence?

Evidence Hub reads this as a preprint, done in animal, not in people. Its evidence level is 5 of 5 (Very low · case / narrative / animal / in vitro / in silico). Case reports, narrative reviews, and animal, cell or computer-model studies give the weakest evidence for human health.

How the five levels of evidence work. The level is assigned automatically from the abstract and can be wrong, so check the paper.
