From Ethnobotany to Artificial Intelligence: An Advance Review on Bunium Persicum Boiss. with the Phytochemical and Pharmacological Aspects
Abstract
Kala zeera is used as medicinal plant in India and can cure diseases. The traditional healers explained that roots, leaves, flowers, fruits, stems and bark of Bunium persicum possess high medicinal values. The researchers also distinguished which phytoconstituents conveyed the curative or possess therapeutic value. Antidiabetic, urinary disorder, obesity, hypoglycemic, anti- inflammatory, analgesic, antimicrobial, antioxidant, hyperlipidemic, increasing breast production and others pharmacological actions have been studied scientifically looking at the chemical compositions of this plant. In addition, the biomarker compounds implementing the therapeutic effectiveness are identified and cataloged. The present paper described the chemistry from Bunium persicum and the pharmacological activity profile. The researchers have vast opportunities to investigate the unknown active components, both in vitro and in vivo of various parts of Bunium persicum.
