Effects of Compression Wear on Whole-body Electromyostimulation and Exercise-induced Muscle Soreness. A Randomized Controlled Trial
Abstract
The study address two main topics:
1. The effect of compression garment on whole-body electromyostimulation (WB-EMS) induced muscle soreness in young adults
2. The repeated bout effect of one intense session of WB-EMS as determined by various regeneration parameters
Conditions: Muscular Regeneration, Repeated Bout Effect of WB-EMS.
Primary outcome: Maximum isokinetic leg extensor strength.
Enrollment: 23 participants.
How strong is the evidence?
Evidence Hub reads this as a randomized trial, done in people. Its evidence level is 3 of 5 (Moderate · trial / cohort / secondary analysis). Trials without a large randomized design, cohorts and secondary analyses give moderate evidence. Reported size: 23 participants or records.
