A Phase 3, Multicenter, Randomized, Controlled, Open-label Study of VELCADE (Bortezomib) Melphalan-Prednisone (VMP) Compared to Daratumumab in Combination With VMP (D-VMP), in Subjects With Previously Untreated Multiple Myeloma Who Are Ineligible for High-Dose Therapy (Asia Pacific Region)

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine if the addition of daratumumab to VELCADE-melphalan-prednisone (VMP) will improve very good partial response (VGPR) or better compared with VMP alone.

Conditions: Multiple Myeloma.

Primary outcome: Very Good Partial Response (VGPR) or Better Rate at 6 Month After Last Participant First Dose; Very Good Partial Response (VGPR) or Better Rate at 3 Years After Last Participant First Dose.

Enrollment: 220 participants.

How strong is the evidence?

Evidence Hub reads this as a randomized trial, done in people. Its evidence level is 2 of 5 (High · randomized trial). Randomized trials of a reasonable size are the strongest single-study design. Reported size: 220 participants or records.

How the five levels of evidence work. The level is assigned automatically from the abstract and can be wrong, so check the paper.
