ABSTRACT
Radiation exposure rate measurements have been done on the radiography examination room of dr. Soehadi Prijonegoro Sragen due to lack of repeat measurement after replacement of examination door. This study aims to determine the value of the radiation exposure rate and the safety of the examination room on radiation exposure for workers and public referring to the publication of NCRP no. 147 on the design of protective structures for health facilities.
This type of research is quantitative with survey approach. This research was conducted in May 2017. Data collection was done by observation, documentation, measurement of exposure rate at a number of points and examination of leakage of examination door. Data analysis was done descriptively by comparing data with NCRP report no.147.
The measurement results of radiation exposure rate indicate the existence of leakage of radiation exposure at point C, I and L. The result of door leak testing indicates that there is still leakage radiation at the radiography examination door. The value of background radiation exposure in Radiology Installation dr. Soehadi Prijonegoro Sragen Hospital exceeds the dose rate based on the height of the location according to UNSCEAR publication.
